I have a mid 2011 mac mini with macOS Sierra installed. I know that the mini does not have a mic installed. How do I set my mini up so I can use siri? I noticed that when I installed Sierra on my mid 2012 MBP, it asked if I wanted to install siri as part of the install. I selected yes. That did not happen when I installed it on my mini, I'm guessing because there is no mic on the mini. Thanks in advance.
well i have a 2014 Mac mini with the latest update and have the microphone plugged in and there is no siri anywhere in the system. have searched the computer for 'siri' anywhere and nothing 😟
You are correct. You are asked to set up Siri during setup only if the computer has a mic.
Later after you add a mic go to System Preferences>Siri and turn Siri on

Technically, Siri was installed on your MaMini as part of the Sierra install. Your issue is that it can't be enabled without a microphone. When you add a microphone, follow Illaass's advice and enable Siri via the Siri System Preference.
Actually you can enable Sire in System Preferences>Siri but without a mic it does not work
